• Language Connect’s internship programme stood out from those of other companies
  • To this day I still strongly recommend this programme to anybody looking to develop their skills and start a career within the translation industry.
  • I definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn about the industry
  • The opportunity to progress has been the stand out feature for my time here so far
  • The internship is well-structured to enable you to progress gradually at your own pace
  • The project management internship at Language Connect really put everything from my studies into perspective
  • I felt immediately welcome and part of the team I was working on. This for me is the standout part of this internship

“I started as an intern on the Healthcare Research Team after finishing my Masters in Translation and Interpreting Studies. I wanted to gain some experience in the translation industry, and Language Connect’s internship programme stood out from those of other companies.

During the internship I had great training from my mentor and team, and I was also given the opportunity to manage a variety of different projects of my own. This was really encouraging as it gave me the confidence to take on more responsibility and gain experience at the same time.

I was offered a permanent position as a Project Executive on the Translation Team, so there are also opportunities for promotion across the company. This was a great opportunity, as not only was I able to stay at Language Connect, but it has also given me the experience of working on different teams, and thus different types of translation projects.

The internship programme is definitely a good way to start in the translation industry, especially if you’re unsure about what you want to do. The experience will give you the necessary skills for a career in project management or freelance translation.”
