• Language Connect’s internship programme stood out from those of other companies
  • To this day I still strongly recommend this programme to anybody looking to develop their skills and start a career within the translation industry.
  • I definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn about the industry
  • The opportunity to progress has been the stand out feature for my time here so far
  • The internship is well-structured to enable you to progress gradually at your own pace
  • The project management internship at Language Connect really put everything from my studies into perspective
  • I felt immediately welcome and part of the team I was working on. This for me is the standout part of this internship

"After finishing my Degree in Translation and Interpreting studies, and some time abroad in France and Wales, I wanted to enter the industry and wasn’t sure where to go. I was lucky enough to get a chance at Language Connect, which has completely boosted my CV by giving me the chance to improve my managing skills, and has increased my knowledge of languages and cultural variation thanks to the Interpreting Team.

When they offered me a chance to stay at the end of my internship it truly proved how important the training was and they care for their employees, as they not only teach you everything you need to know, but also give you the possibility to stand up on your own and decide if you would like to keep growing and developing yourself both professionally and personally. It seems a long time ago when I was supporting NHS interpreting and translation projects until nowadays, when I solely manage the whole Trust on my own knowing that everyday there is a new challenge, and a new chance to learn.

I definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn about the industry and is looking to develop their skills within the industry, I didn’t regret it and I don’t think anyone could."
