• Language Connect’s internship programme stood out from those of other companies
  • To this day I still strongly recommend this programme to anybody looking to develop their skills and start a career within the translation industry.
  • I definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn about the industry
  • The opportunity to progress has been the stand out feature for my time here so far
  • The internship is well-structured to enable you to progress gradually at your own pace
  • The project management internship at Language Connect really put everything from my studies into perspective
  • I felt immediately welcome and part of the team I was working on. This for me is the standout part of this internship

"I joined Language Connect as an intern just after completing a Masters in Translation Studies – I knew I wanted to follow a career in languages but didn’t feel as though I had enough experience or knowledge about the Language Services industry yet. The Project Management internship was the perfect starting point for me to develop key transferable skills in a corporate environment, whilst still being able to feed my enthusiasm for translation and languages.

I was able to manage projects independently very early in the internship, from the quoting stage right through to the final delivery, with the help of a very supportive mentor and wider team, who taught me a lot about time management, client communication, team-work and problem-solving.

After my internship I was offered a permanent position as a Project Executive which I gladly accepted, and have now progressed to Project Manager after just 2 years at the company – this is a familiar pattern in our team as each member also started out as an intern!

Whether it’s a career as a freelancer or in project management that you are looking for, the experience the internship provides is invaluable and I would thoroughly recommend it.”
