• Language Connect’s internship programme stood out from those of other companies
  • To this day I still strongly recommend this programme to anybody looking to develop their skills and start a career within the translation industry.
  • I definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to learn about the industry
  • The opportunity to progress has been the stand out feature for my time here so far
  • The internship is well-structured to enable you to progress gradually at your own pace
  • The project management internship at Language Connect really put everything from my studies into perspective
  • I felt immediately welcome and part of the team I was working on. This for me is the standout part of this internship

After studying French and German at university, I was always advised during my degree to pursue an internship role at a translation agency in order to break into the industry. This is where I stumbled across Language Connect and it really stood out to me from the offset; it was clear from the application that they really cared about their employees, which has made the company a pleasure to work for so far.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has an enthusiastic and hardworking attitude, as going the extra mile is always noticed and appreciated. The opportunity to progress has been the stand out feature for my time here so far, as after just 2 months of being an intern, I was offered a full-time Project Executive position. That being said, you are never forced into tasks that you are uncomfortable with. You receive mentoring from the very beginning to the very end of your internship, therefore if you ever feel overwhelmed or have lots of questions (like me), they are always there and are always happy to help.

It has been an incredible process, where I’ve learnt valuable skills every single day, which I can adapt to job that I happen to do in the future.
